Pipe Marking

Pipe markers are labels on pipes that identify the contents, hazard level and direction of flow of the pipe contents.

ANSI and ASME regulations provide the pipe marking standards that apply to most facilities, from restaurants to refineries. In some cases specialized standards are use. For example, the International Institude of Ammonia Refrigeration publishes the pipe markign standards used to mark ammonia refrigeration pipes and there are special standards for labeling medical gases in hospitals and medical facilities.
